What To Expect

There is no dress code, and although some people do prefer to dress a bit more formally, most prefer to dress more casually (perhaps “smart casual” best describes the way most people will dress). We would suggest wearing what you are comfortable in. God is more interested in our hearts than our outward appearance.

If you are coming to Gracemead with small children we encourage & invite you to park in the car park attached to the church building for convenience. The car park entrances are on the left at the end of Dellfeld Road (AL10 8EW). For adults & those without children, we would ask that you consider parking in the Link Drive car park opposite which is just a couple of minutes away via a subway.

Our Sunday service starts promptly at 10:30am so we encourage you to aim to be with us slightly earlier if possible. Coming early is a great way to meet new people as well!

We aim to keep our services to around 1hr 30mins and be finished by around 12pm. Sometimes we overrun slightly but that is very much the exception rather than the rule, and on aqny week you can feel free to slip out quietly if you need to go. If you have time to stay after the service, we provide tea & coffee and encourage people to stay and fellowship with one another – it’s a great way to build relationships.

Absolutely, we have a slope leading to the main entrance for wheelchair users. If you need any assistance when you arrive please just let one of us know & we will be happy to help.

We try not to over-plan our Sunday services, as we prefer to be led by the Holy Spirit and allow for what we feel God is saying to us ‘in the moment’. Having said that, there is generally a time of worship during the service, and there is a message bringing the word of God which is sound biblical teaching. We often have testimonies of what God is doing in our lives and we share communion together on the first Sunday of each month.

Absolutely, we have many children of all age groups that come to church. We have a family church service every few weeks as well where the children get involved in the worship and stay for the whole service for a message aimed at everyone. The rest of the time, after worship but before the message, the children are released into their groups where they will learn about the Bible and make friends with other children their age.
