Senior Pastors
Mike and Heather have been our senior pastors since 2000 and are passionately committed to seeing our town of Hatfield totally transformed by God. Their own testimonies tell of the awesome power of God at work, how He is interested in every individual and how He can heal and bring freedom to people’s lives. Mike and Heather believe God has a plan and purpose for everyone’s life and they have a real heart to release everyone to be the person God created them to be.
Mike first moved to Hatfield from his native Scotland in 1984 to work in the very building we were later to convert into a church. Prior to getting married in 1988 and joining Mike in Hatfield, Heather spent four incredible years working with YWAM in Holland & Africa. Serving God in missions runs through Heather’s veins. There is nothing like joining her on a trip to Romania or Africa to see God’s heart lived out in practice touching lives.
Mike & Heather have three daughters, Jenny, Lauren and Kirsty and four grandchildren Cerys, Noah, Lydia and Ava.

Elders
Alan and Sharman moved to Hatfield in 1979 since when they have made many good friends amongst the local community. They have seen many changes in Hatfield and truly believe that God has future plans for the town which will once again make it a desired place in which to live.
They began to attend Gracemead Church in 2005, believing that God was calling them to worship within a local community. Alan and Sharman were very excited about the move into Gracemead House, fully believing that this was God’s plan. Being situated right in the heart of Hatfield, the church will be able to reach out and work with and alongside the community. They were made Deacons of the church and feel privileged to serve their fellowship.
Alan and Sharman are now both retired but both volunteer for Hatfield Foodbank which runs from our building. They have three wonderful grandchildren whom they see as often as possible and love to take walks in the countryside.
Deacons
Fred and Ani relocated to Hatfield in 2015 from India due to Fred’s job as Solution Architect. Since then, they have been active members of Gracemead Church. Prior to settling in Hatfield, Fred spent several years working in the United States. He was raised in a Christian household, whereas Ani, being the daughter of a pastor, has been serving God since childhood. They got married in 2012 and are now proud parents of two wonderful children, Olive and Timothy. Throughout their time at Gracemead Church, they have witnessed God’s unwavering faithfulness amid life’s challenges. With hearts inclined towards prayer, they long to see God’s hand at work in Hatfield. Humbly, they dedicate themselves to serving the Lord and consider it a privilege to support the pastor as deacons of the church.
