We believe that prayer has the power to change lives and situations, and we believe that prayer is crucially important for both the Church and you & I individually. Prayer is simply a way of communicating with God – speaking to Him as He intended all the way back at the beginning in the garden of Eden, and listening to what He might say to us. God loves each one of us so much, He wants us to have an intimate and personal relationship with Him and prayer is a great way to do this.
It says in Ephesians 6:18 that we should “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” Of course, Jesus himself prayed constantly to the Father while he was here on earth. He would often go from the disciples and the crowds of people following Him – early in the morning or at other times – to seek space to speak intimately to the Father and share His heart with Him.
There are so many Bible verses on prayer and too many to list here, but as a church and as a body of God’s people, we want to be constantly seeking to hear from Him, talking to Him, and sharing with Him our lives and where we are at. Do you know that God is so interested in you personally?
Mark says this in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
We encourage all of our Gracemead family to pray faith-filled prayers and watch God respond as we cry out to Him.
If you have a prayer request, we would love to hear from you so we can pray for whatever needs you have. We believe that prayer can change everything, no matter what the situation!
